Hyundai to Add 877 Jobs in Alabama

Facing an ever-growing demand for their product, Hyundai has announced that they will add employees to their Montgomery, Alabama plant. Applications and training are scheduled for summer, and Hyundai also anticipates a “ripple-effect” in hiring in the community, for their suppliers and other supporting industries.

The increased workforce will boost production of the Sonata and Elantra. The two most popular Hyundais account for almost half of their sales. Some American dealerships expressed they could have sold even more autos had the supply met the demand, and Hyundai responded promptly. Following a record-setting March, April’s sales surpassed last year’s numbers. It was also their second-best month in history, as March was slightly better. Hyundai admits that short supplies of some of their vehicles may have prevented them from breaking March’s record. April also marked an impressive 40th consecutive month of growth for the automaker. Keffer Hyundai is proud to be a part of the ever-growing success of Hyundai Motor America.
